29 September 2020 – The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), as Executive Agent for the Defense Intelligence Security Enterprise (DISE) Common Data Fabric (CDF), awarded a Task Order to Volant Associates to enable the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Community’s transition away from the DCGS Integration Backbone (DIB) to the CDF. As part of this effort, Volant is now responsible for the maintenance of and any future enhancements to the existing DIB software baseline. Concurrently, Team Volant will develop and deploy a DIB CDF Warehouse Integration Interface (WII) as the first step along the DCGS Family of Systems’ migration path to the CDF.
Under a separately awarded Task Order, Team Volant delivers the initial components of the DISE CDF. The DISE CDF serves as the scalable, modular, open architecture that enables interoperability for the collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination and archiving of all forms of intelligence. The objective DISE CDF will field as a network agnostic capability that enables seamless data management from tasking to collection to near real-time dissemination to the warfighter.
